Role Overview: 

As a Life Coach at iDare, you'll provide vital support to our users, guiding them with compassion towards healing and resilience. Your role involves coaching sessions, where you'll collaborate with clients to set and achieve personal goals. With a trauma-informed approach, you'll foster a safe and supportive environment for growth. Working closely with our team, you'll play a crucial role in promoting healing and empowering survivors to navigate their journey towards well-being.

Responsibilities: 

  • Conduct one-on-one coaching sessions with clients to support them in overcoming trauma, navigating challenges, and fostering personal growth and resilience. 
  • Collaborate with clients to identify their goals, strengths, and areas for development, and co-create action plans to achieve desired outcomes. 
  • Provide empathetic listening, compassionate support, and evidence-based guidance to clients as they work through emotional and psychological obstacles. 
  • Empower clients to cultivate self-awareness, self-compassion, and coping skills to manage stress, regulate emotions, and enhance overall well-being. 
  • Foster a safe and inclusive coaching environment that honors the unique experiences, identities, and perspectives of each client. 
  • Collaborate with other members of the iDare team, including mental health and legal professionals, to ensure holistic support and continuity of care for clients. 
  • Conduct Webinars, seminars and write content on subject matter as required. 
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical guidelines and standards of practice for coaching professionals. 
  • Stay informed about the latest research, theories, and practices in trauma-informed coaching and related fields, and integrate new knowledge into coaching approaches. 

Areas covered: Family & Relationship Coaching, Health & Wellness Coaching, Career Coaching, Spiritual Coaching, and Financial Coaching 

Qualifications: 

  • Certification or training in life coaching, counseling, or a related field, with a focus on trauma-informed practice. 
  • Proven experience as a life coach or counselor, with a demonstrated ability to support individuals through trauma and adversity. 
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to establish rapport and build trust with clients in a compassionate and non-judgmental manner. 
  • Empathy, compassion, and cultural humility in working with diverse populations and trauma survivors. 
  • Knowledge of resilience-building techniques, and evidence-based interventions for trauma recovery. 
  • Excellent communication skills, including active listening, empathy, and the ability to provide constructive feedback and guidance. 
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and self-care practices to maintain personal well-being and effectiveness as a coach. 
  • Alignment with iDare's mission and values, including a commitment to social justice, equity, and mental health advocacy. 
  • Willingness to travel. 
  • Structured and conceptual approach to work.  
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced start- up environment. 
  • Proactive mindset with a commitment to continuous improvement.
