Healed
06.12.2024 | Bhaswati Roy
A phantom touch, a ghost upon my skin,
Your memory lingers, though the years have flown.
We danced in fire, a love that burned within,
Then ashes scattered, leaving me alone.
My heart, a hollow vessel, cold and stark,
Yearned for your warmth, a love I couldn't mend.
I chased a ghost, leaving a lonely mark,
Aching for affection that would never bend.
But time, a sculptor, chiseled through the pain,
Healed fractured pieces, taught me to be whole.
No longer grasping, love now falls like rain,
A gentle touch upon my open soul.
This love unsought, a solace and surprise,
Blooms in the garden where the wildflower lies.
